Roof Services
In addition to complete roof installation, we perform the following Roof Services:
- Reattach or Replace Shingles – Inspect roof and reattach missing, loose or damaged shingles.
- Reattach or Replace Flashings – Roof flashings are pieces of metal used to divert water from certain areas of a roof. Flashings are installed around vents, skylights and chimneys.
- Blow Debris from Roof – Debris sitting on your roof is the number one cause of mold and spore growth, so keeping your roof clean will prevent moss growth. Leaves, pine needles, moss and other debris are removed from the roof by a blower.
- Sweep/Brush to Remove Moss – Moss is removed by hand with brooms and brushes. Because many roofs have exclusions in the manufacturer’s warranty against forceful pressure washing, we do not pressure wash roofs.
- Moss Prevention – We use a zinc sulphate based product called Moss B Ware. The white powder is applied at the ridge lines and through the middle of the roof. Rains will wash the product down the roof and after a few days, the moss will turn brown or black. If you have stubborn moss and it is still green after two weeks, we will return to do a second application.
